In Temasek Business School, students are expected to following the disciplinary codes strictly.
Here, we give you an overview of the School’s disciplinary codes.
There are two categories under the Polytechnic’s disciplinary codes:
CAT 1 Offences: Serious Offences that involves the School Discipline Committee, including:
- Forgery of official documents
- Theft
- Creating nuisance/bringing disrepute TP
- Pornography
- Vandalism & mischief
- Insubordination & non-compliance to regulations
- Fighting, rioting & assault
- Sexual assault & outrage of modesty
- Drug related offences on campus
- Unauthorized soliciting of funds & selling of products
- Imprisonment cases (police cases)
CAT 2 Offences: Offences that are handled at School level, including:
- Academic–related offences/cheating on exams, coursework, plagiarism
- Dress code violation
- Littering
- Smoking
- Gambling & card playing
- Computer-related offences
- Trespassing into unauthorized areas
Academic Offences:
- Cheating on exams: All subjects taken in that semester would be marked as ‘FAIL’. Students will not be permitted to take any supplementary examination or assessment.
- Cheating on coursework: The subject concerned will be marked as ‘FAIL’ and students would be debarred from the examination for that subject (if applicable) and will not be permitted to take any supplementary examination or assessment.
- Plagiarism: Disciplinary action taken will depend on severity and range of offence and can result in component failure to removal from course:
- First offence where the Plagiarism is on an assignment the coursework component will be marked as failed.
- Second offence where the Plagiarism is on another assignment the students will have to face subject failure
- Third offence the students will face a suspension.
- Fourth attempt will be dismissal.
