A company named Iggi’s was started in late October 2004 by two aspiring entrepreneurs, Serina Teo and Ignatius Koh. Both graduates from Temasek Polytechnic in 2002, Serina was then a student in SMU while Ignatius had just completed his National Service.
Initially named Iggi’s Little Island, the company started off selling hand-painted T-shirts carrying Asian designs at fairs for expatriates/tourists and Christmas bazaars. Feeling the need for change and something more permanent, in mid-January 2005, the two of them decided to set up a shop at Bugis Village, and changed the name of their new shop to Iggi’s.
Soon after, Iggi's started its label of printed T-shirts, Iggi's Culture Coalition, with designs that revolve around Asian cultures and legends. The label attained considerable success. Since early 2006, Iggi's moved into wholesaling and manufacturing of T-shirts.
Serina Teo and Ignatius Koh were featured in The Straits Times and Channel NewsAsia for student and young entrepreneurship and their products were also mentioned in Teenage magazine. Iggi’s was also the proud sponsor of both the Miss and Mr Glamour Pageants 2006. | | | | | | | Sariyanti Sannie - Graduated in 1998
