Goh Shen Ghui Ray graduated with a Diploma in Business in 2002. He is currently pursuing a degree in Accountancy at NTU under the ICPAS Scholarship. Here's what Ray says about his time in Temasek Polytechnic :

“I enjoyed having discussions with the very friendly and learned lecturers about issues outside of the textbook as I learned much more about the business world that way. I also became friends with some lecturers. My internship with a bank also allowed me an opportunity to explore and align the career opportunities with my interests, passion and strengths. It had also taught me to be more savvy socially and confident when working with working adults. The Problem Based Learning method used in TP also prepared me very well for the Project Discovery pedagogy in NTU where learning is almost entirely self-directed. The well-rounded design of the Business diploma also facilitated my quick transition into my first year at NTU....The interview skills learnt in TP also helped tremendously in many ways. For example, I performed well enough during a student exchange interview that I was selected for a 6-month exchange programme at the University of Washington in December 2005.”

Henry said:“I chose TP's Diploma in Business, as I wanted a well-rounded education in the various aspects of the Business world. There were vast opportunities for me to major into different specialisations, so as to focus on what I'm interested in ………..TP not only provides a solid foundation for my tertiary education, but it holds many fond memories close to my heart…………….”

Veron Chua Pei Shan graduated with a Diploma in Business in 2001. Veron also graduated with BSc(First Class Honours) in Business from the University of London (External Programme). She shared with us how TP has helped her in her journey in her pursuit of a degree: "It was indeed a tough journey for me for the past 2 years but I have enjoyed every single bit of it. However, I would not have been able to do it if not for the solid foundation that I had gained from TP. The University of London (UOL) programme required discipline, in-depth study and analysis as well as extensive research work - all these skills were skills that I've acquired during my three years with TP. The exposure to projects of different nature and Problem-based Learning (PBL) assignments during my studies in TP had given me countless opportunities to acquire knowledge and skills from lecturers and my peers. TP's well-facilitated environment, academic structure and the helpful and encouraging lecturers had helped nurture me into a ‘thinking' person who is self-disciplined, responsible, and pro-active - all these qualities certainly have helped me achieve what I have today." bus_ss_bus_veron

"I've worked with interns from many schools, but this batch of interns from Temasek Polytechnic impresses me the most. They are more pro-active, asking relevant questions, hardworking, responsible and are polite to their mentors. These interns possess the enthusiasm, energy and drive to complete the work entrusted to them to the best of their ability. Above all, they have a very good officer who keeps in touch with us and makes sure the interns adhere to the rules of the internship programme. Keep up the good work!"

“Sharon was a strong team player who was always diligent and hardworking.
