Kor Lee Pern, 2000
Aiming for First Class
![]() | Lee Pern, has also made a rare mark of distinction at NTU, graduating with First Class Honours in its Bachelor of Accountancy programme (2005). He graduated with a Diploma with Merit in 2000, and many Accounting & Finance lecturers still remember him as a bright but humble student who is a joy to teach. |
The recipe for his ‘first-class’ performance sounds deceptively simple: “I try to strike a healthy balance between study and play. During term time, I attend all lessons without fail, to avoid last-minute cramming, but also make pockets of time every week to unwind.”
Lee Pern was quick to add that the Diploma in Accounting & Finance has been instrumental to his success. “Without a doubt, TP has guided and equipped me with a solid-rock foundation in accounting and finance fundamentals. The diploma gave me an important headstart over my peers at NTU, and I was able to move on quickly and concentrate on learning the more advanced concepts.”
After working at Ernst and Young as an auditor, Lee Pern is happily employed at People's Association as Head of Operating Account (Finance Division).
