Course Synopsis
The Specialist Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management aims to provide participants with knowledge about the hospitality and tourism industry.
Career Opportunities
Students would have undergone broad-based curriculum for a career change and possibly, to be used for further study, which make them highly versatile. Being groomed for junior executive positions, they can choose to work in many service sectors from arts to leisure, from hospitality to recreation, in fact any tourism-related business. The graduate may find employment with the civil service, hotels, country clubs, resorts, food service businesses, cruise, events management, entertainment promoters, exhibition and convention companies, tour operators, museums, national tourism organizations, retail and leisure attractions.
On completion of the course, graduates will be able to:
- provide managerial perspectives to the key areas of hospitality and tourism, such as strategic marketing, food and beverage management and special interest tourism.
- have the opportunity to be in the midst of the hospitality and tourism business environment. A unique strength of the diploma which is difficult to replicate.
Target Participants
This course is targeted at those who are keen to join the hospitality and tourism industry but lack the related knowledge or formal education in the industry subject areas.

Minimum Entry Requirements
Participants must possess:
- A Polytechnic diploma or equivalent qualifications.
- Other academic qualifications on a case-by-case basis.
