Diploma in Business IT (BIT) had its first alumni tea session on 20 October 2007 morning at the Temasek Business School.

A core group of the BIT alumni attended this cosy tea session together with some of our BIT lecturers. Some of the alumni took the opportunity to hum along with the karaoke tunes played and posed for photos with their ex-schoolmates.

Course Manager, Mr Benedict Fernandez, spoke about the importance of getting the BIT alumni together and some upcoming direction for BIT alumni. A formal election was conducted towards the end of the session. Wong Wei Shen (graduating batch 2007) was elected President and Bevan Tan (class of 2006) Vice-President.

Plans of organizing events and communicating among the Alumni were then discussed. This includes the usage of popular networking application, facebook, as a source of reaching out to BIT graduates. Graduates can also be informed of upcoming events and job openings through this channel.

Adviser to the Alumni Committee and BIT Lecturer, Ms Lim Pek Seah, closed the event in the afternoon and thanked all for making it a successful one.
