CMM Alumni Nite

A core group of CMM alumni and staff had a cozy get-together at a restaurant and wine lounge on a Saturday evening.

The setting for the event on 25 August was the Vino Vino Dining and Wine Lounge at UE Square on River Valley Road.

It was organized by the CMM Alumni Committee as a launch event for the alumni club.

In between clinking wine glasses and nibbling on hors d’oeuvres, the group of some 25 CMM staff and alumni reminisced about their days on campus. Conversations revolved around such topics as the interesting characters in the classes, project deadlines and idiosyncrasies of lecturers.

The ex-CMM students spanning the four graduated cohorts used the occasion as a stepping-stone to build a strong bond among the CMM tribe.

The President of the Alumni Committee, Joel Chua and his contemporary in the pioneer batch, Agatha Phua took to the stage to sing a duet accompanied by the resident two-man band at the lounge.

Later Joel made a short speech about how the event is a first step to building the alumni network.

Adviser to the Alumni Committee and CMM Lecturer, Mr Tamil Selvan, thanked Joel and his team for organising the event.

Course Manager, Mr Darryl David spoke about the importance of getting the CMM alumni together and keeping the tradition going.

Temasek Business School Deputy Director, Mr Jerry Chen graced the occasion, mingling casually with the staff and alumni.
