Marilyn Ang Memories in TP are one of the best ones I had. I had so much fun and am so blessed with friends that cross my life. I’m really thankful for all the lecturers that had taught me and imparted me with so much knowledge attributing to my future endeavors. Without your patience, advice and encouragement, I could not come this far. | ![]()
Oh how I miss TP! The best 3 years of my studying life! The lecturers were the best anyone can ask for. Armed with experience and youthfulness, they passed on their passion and love for Tourism and Hospitality to all of us. I learnt everything from etiquette to fine dining to how to run a tourism business to making policies. It was definitely a holistic studying experience. I look back fondly on how we used to celebrate birthdays of our fellow classmates and share the birthday cake (almost every week) with Ms Ivy Tan and Mr Low Nguan Kiang. TP was not just a place I went to school at. It is the place where I was moulded into the person that I am today by the lectures, friends and various experiences I went through. Temasek Polytechnic? It’s more like Top Polytechnic to me! | ![]()
Tertiary education is like a mini-corporate world where people come together for a greater benefit. Never underestimate what tertiary education brings to you. I have worked in startups and MNCs before. The knowledge as well as the soft skills learnt is definitely applicable. I will never forget the life-shaping experience with TP. Thank you for bringing me to where I am now! | ![]()
Apart from studying the elements of the tourism industry, I enjoyed a fulfilling life of fun and enrichment at TP. From school trips to real life attachments, I gained experience and learnt more than I can get from the regular textbooks! Without the dedicated lecturers, administrative staff and even the canteen staff, life would definitely be more tedious. Also, my fun and jovial classmates made life at TP exciting. Thurs, I would like to thank them for making TP the best poly that I know. | ![]()
TP is more than just a school. It was my ‘first home’, where I spent my time meeting group mates to discuss projects, organizing and participating in student activities, or simply hang out with my friends. There was always something fun to do! HTM is more than just a course. It was where I learnt skills – how to solve problems big and small, manage relationships, prepare a 3-course meal, and lots more – which I apply to both my professional and personal life. In no small part, it made me who I am today. Most importantly, my lecturers are more than just teachers. They are my advisors and friends, who will always find time to have a chat over a cup of coffee. Thanks to them, I have nothing but fond memories of my 3 years with HTM@TP. | ![]()
The choice of going into Tourism Management at Temasek Polytechnic is one decision that I never regretted at all. The soft skills and knowledge that I gained from each and everyone from the school were priceless lessons of life, which I am truly thankful for. Thank you once again to all the staff from the Hospitality & Tourism Management division! | ![]()

My life at Temasek Polytechnic was a colorful page. I got to know a lot of friends from all walks of life and also my life partner. It was a wonderful 3 years experience because I learnt a lot from our lecturers who shared with us stories of the industry. All that I have learnt has helped me to develop a unique character. Thanks TP! | ![]()
How time flies! 15 years have slipped by since graduation. I still fondly remember the Grange Road campus that was located very conveniently near Orchard Road. Coconut & palm trees lined the school corridors and crickets at mid-day added to the quiet ambience of the school. I look back fondly at my days spent at TP… | ![]()
It was only after leaving school that I learnt to appreciate TP. TP was indeed a very happening and lively place. The lecturers were like our buddies...They were friendly, hip and approachable, and we could talk to them on almost anything! I still have fond memories of project meetings and the last minute rush to meet deadlines. TP was also where I learnt to work with different people with different personalities. One can also not forget the wonderful food served at the various canteens - fish & chips at Jupiter Cafe, Malay food at School of Design canteen, etc. TP is to me, just like…home. | ![]()
It was definitely my most enjoyable 3 years of school life. I would like to thank the great lecturers for guiding me and the great friendship that is still going strong after 9 years. It is a great honor to be from the pioneer batch of the Hospitality Management course at TP. As long as you have the passion, I’m sure you will love this dynamic and fun industry! | ![]() |
