President's Message
Dear BIT Alumni, First of all, let me extend a warm welcome to all of you into the TP BIT Alumni. As the first elected President of the Alumni, I must say that I am extremely honoured to be given this opportunity not only to serve you but also to contribute back to the school and BIT. I am sure that all of us have fond memories being a part of the TP BIT family - the friends we have made, the dedicated lecturers who taught us and even the food we ate in the canteen! These were a significant part of our lives during the last 3 years and the memory will continue to stay with us even after we have graduated from the school. The TP BIT Alumni’s aim is to create opportunities for all of us to maintain or further develop the bonds that we have established during our polytechnic days. It is also a valuable avenue to extend our business and social network as we further our goals in life. Our Alumni had our very first gathering and elections on the 20 October 2007 and the turn-out was very encouraging. Many former BIT students and even current ones took time off their busy schedule to attend the tea session. In addition, the Alumni network in Facebook has expanded to more than 200 members in a span of 2 months. This shows the commitment that BIT students have for TP and BIT. In the near future, my executive committee and I will work closely together to organize various get-together sessions to continue to expand and develop our Alumni network and bring it to greater heights. Each and every one of you can play your part by encouraging your fellow BIT course mates to join the network. Finally, I would like to wish current BIT students all the best for their studies and the Alumni much success in their future endeavours! Wong Wei Shen | ![]() |
